The BEP Marine Battery Switch undergoes rigorous testing procedures (UL 1107) for continuous use (1 hour), intermittent use (5 minutes), and cranking (engine starting – 10 seconds). These tests determine the maximum current the switch can handle within the specified times without the rear terminals exceeding 100°C (212°F) above ambient temperature.
