The Phoenix Inverter 12/3000 Smart is a high-performance, reliable inverter, designed with efficiency and versatility in mind. Built on the tried-and-tested Phoenix inverter platform, this model now features a sleek, slimmed-down design and a robust full metal casing for added durability. Available in power ratings of 1600VA, 2000VA, 3000VA, and 5000VA, it is suitable for 12V, 24V, or 48V systems, making it ideal for a variety of applications, from cars and boats to caravans and homes.
This inverter is powerful enough to support a wide range of standard plug-in appliances, offering users dependable performance whether they’re on the move or at home. Its toroidal transformer ensures superior peak power surge capacity, along with stable voltage, consistent frequency, and high-quality sine-wave output.
Installation has been made simpler and more intuitive. The inverter’s terminals are now more easily accessible, streamlining the setup process and allowing for a cleaner, more professional finish by installers.
One of the standout features of the Phoenix Inverter 12/3000 Smart is its built-in Bluetooth functionality. This makes configuration easier than ever. Through the VictronConnect app, you can conveniently set up various parameters, including alarms, voltage cut-off levels, output voltage, frequency settings, eco-mode, and more.
The inverter also features a VE.Direct Communication Port, which can be connected to a computer (using a VE.Direct to USB interface cable) for more detailed configuration and monitoring.
The Phoenix 12/3000 Smart is built for longevity and reliability. It utilizes a full-bridge, toroidal transformer topology that has been extensively tested and proven over the years. The inverter is short-circuit proof and has built-in protection against overheating, whether caused by excessive load or high ambient temperatures.
This inverter is equipped to handle high surge power demands, making it capable of powering loads such as LED power converters, halogen lamps, and electric tools that require significant initial power to start.
When the inverter is in ECO mode, it will enter standby mode when the load drops below a user-defined level. During standby, the inverter briefly powers on every 2.5 seconds (adjustable), and if the load exceeds the pre-set level, the inverter will automatically remain on.
The inverter can be remotely switched on or off via a two-pole connector. Alternatively, a switch connected to the H terminal (left) or L terminal (right) can control the inverter by switching to battery plus or minus, or to the chassis of a vehicle.
For users with lower-power inverters, the Filax Automatic Transfer Switch is recommended. This switch ensures a seamless transition between power sources with a switching time of less than 20 milliseconds, preventing disruptions in power supply for sensitive devices like computers. Alternatively, the MultiPlus inverter also includes a built-in transfer switch.
For complete control over your power system, the Phoenix 12/3000 Smart is compatible with the Cerbo GX, which connects to the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal for remote monitoring. You can also use the GX Touch, a Multi-Function Display (MFD), or the VictronConnect app to manage the system locally through Bluetooth. This combination of features redefines smart power management by offering superior connectivity and control over your energy system.
For those interested in a deeper understanding of the installation process for the Cerbo GX & GX Touch 50, a video guide is available to walk you through the process.
