Designed specifically for boat owners, the Phoenix Smart IP43 Charger 12/30 (1+1) offers a flexible solution for managing battery charging. It provides 30A or 50A of charging power to each of three battery banks. The Phoenix 1+1 model can allocate 3A to the starter battery, with the remaining charge directed to the ‘house’ battery bank. The charger is also available in 24V models with 16A/25A charging capabilities. Bluetooth-enabled, it allows for monitoring, alarm settings, and software updates via a smartphone or tablet.
Key Features of the Phoenix Smart IP43 Charger 12/30 (1+1):
- Bluetooth Smart Enabled:
The charger is compatible with any Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, tablet, or other device, enabling easy monitoring, adjustments to settings, and updates to software features directly from your device. - Adaptive 5-Stage Charging:
Utilizing an adaptive charging algorithm with five stages—bulk, absorption, reconditioning, float, and storage—this charger optimizes the charging process based on battery use. It automatically adjusts to the type of battery being charged to prevent overcharging and maximize battery life. - BatterySafe Mode:
In situations where high charge current and high absorption voltage are used for faster charging, BatterySafe mode kicks in to prevent excessive gassing and potential battery damage by controlling the voltage rise once the gassing voltage threshold is reached. - Storage Mode:
When the battery is unused for 24 hours, the charger automatically enters Storage Mode, reducing the float voltage to minimize gassing and corrosion. This also helps prevent electrolyte stratification and sulphation, which can lead to early battery failure. - Li-ion Battery Support:
The charger is also compatible with Li-ion (LiFePO₄) batteries. It can be controlled remotely via Bluetooth or using a relay connected to the Li-ion battery management system (BMS), providing full voltage and current management. - Programmable Charge Algorithm:
The charger offers a fully programmable charging algorithm that can be customized using Bluetooth or the VE.Direct interface. Users can select one of three pre-programmed modes or configure their own charging profiles. - VE.Direct Interface:
For wired connections to devices such as a Color Control panel or a PC, the charger is equipped with a VE.Direct interface. This allows users to access data and manage settings through VictronConnect. - Programmable Relay:
Users can program the charger to trigger specific events, such as alarms, using the VE.Direct interface or Bluetooth-enabled device, enhancing the level of control and monitoring available.
