These terms and conditions apply to all orders for delivery to the UK. Placing an order constitutes your acceptance thereof. Despatch of the products by us constitutes acceptance of the order by us and the commencement of our contract to supply (see “Our contract with you” below). Your contract for supply is with Western Electrical (a division of Edmundson Electrical Ltd). Your statutory rights are not affected by any of these terms.


Western Electrical is committed to supplying high quality products to customers. In accordance with the established custom of the trade, Western Electrical will in no case be liable for more than the actual amount paid for a particular item.


We will endeavour only to offer products which we expect to have in stock and available for ordering, but all items are subject to availability. Products that become unavailable will not be selectable on our website. Our acceptance of your order will take place when we email you to accept it, at which point the Contract will come into existence between you and us.

If we are unable to accept your order, we will inform you of this and will not charge you for the Product. This might be because the Product is out of stock, because of unexpected limits on our resources which we could not reasonably plan for, because we have identified an error in the price or description of the Product or because we are unable to meet a delivery deadline you have specified.

We will assign an order number to your order and tell you what it is when we accept your order. It will help us if you can tell us the order number whenever you contact us about your order.


Estimated delivery on a standard service is 3-5 working days after the date of the Dispatch Confirmation (the date on which we e-mail you to confirm our acceptance of your order). Occasionally our delivery to you may be affected by an event outside our control.


Orders received before 1pm Monday to Friday will be despatched the same day provided we have your items in stock. Items ordered after 1pm Friday and over a weekend will be despatched Monday. Items despatched on Friday are for delivery the following week. Items ordered over a Bank Holiday will be despatched the next working day. Our web site is constantly updated but demand is high and we occasionally run out of stock on popular items. If, for this reason, we cannot despatch your order we will contact you with a revised despatch date.

We regret we are unable to deliver to Ireland and the rest of Europe.

If large amounts of cable is ordered this may also invoke additional carriage charges but we will inform you of this at the time of ordering

The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013

In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order at any time up to 14 days after receipt. This period begins the day after you receive the goods.

If you wish to cancel an order please contact us within 7 working days after receipt. You must take reasonable care of the goods whilst in your possession and they must be returned to us, promptly, at your cost. If your order has already been dispatched then you will need to either refuse delivery or return the goods. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receipt of the product. Goods must be returned before a refund will be processed and the product must be returned in its original condition. We can arrange collection of larger items, but you will be charged for this service at cost. We reserve the right to cancel any order.

Returns Policy

If you are not entirely happy with your purchase, we will exchange or refund in full, excluding carriage, provided that the items are returned within 30 days of receipt.

We are aware that on occasions goods are damaged in transport. Please check the condition of goods on arrival as we are unable to accept goods damaged during shipping after 14 days.

Please contact us here at Western Electrical as soon as the damage is noticed.

If you decided that you no longer require the goods once they have been received then please contact us.  We will then provide you with a returns order number that must be quoted on all correspondence and clearly marked on the outside packaging of the item being retuned. All refunds will be processed within 5 working days of receipt of the returned goods. Refunds are only payable to the purchaser of the goods.

Return postage will be at your expense unless the goods are faulty and, in this case, you will also be refunded the returns postage costs.

When returning the goods, we strongly recommend that you fully insure your package that you are returning. We suggest the use of a carrier that can provide you with a proof of delivery

 Returned goods must be packaged securely, with all original packaging undamaged and in a saleable condition. Goods must be unused and security seals intact.


As we are a Wholesaler all goods supplied by us are manufactured by others.  We will pass onto you the benefit of warranty, if any, given by the manufacturer of the goods.  As per the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the purchaser is entitled to an immediate refund, if the goods are faulty, up to 30 days from the purchase date and up to 6 months after the date of supply if the goods cannot be repaired.


At Western Electrical we accept most major credit and debit cards, but we are sorry that we are currently unable to process payments by American Express. If you wish to pay by cheque you will need to post your order to us. Please note that your account will be debited/cheque cashed on receipt of your order. If your card issuer or bank refuses to authorise payment to us, we will contact you for further instructions. We will not be liable for any resulting delay or non-delivery.

Please ensure you enter the billing address information exactly as it appears on your card statement.

Our card payments process is handled by WorldPay, a global leader in payment processing technology; this provides our customers with a safe and easy way to pay. The relationship with our payment partner ensures we are able to maintain full PCI/DSS compliance through all aspects of our payment process.

Where necessary you will be asked to input your unique password/pin to comply with the 3D Secure process employed by your card issuer, such as Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode.


Prices displayed on the website reflect the latest prices for all products. However, we reserve the right to change prices at any time. Prices and availability of items are subject to change without notice.  The prices displayed on this website include VAT, if applicable.

If, in error, a product(s) has been priced inaccurately, either at unit level or through the activation of a promotion, we will not be liable to supply that item(s) to you at the inaccurate price. In such circumstances, we will notify you of the correct price and ask you to confirm or decline your order for the item(s) in question.


All rights, including copyright, in the content of our web pages are owned or controlled by us. In accessing our web pages, you agree that you may only download the content for your own individual and non-commercial use. You are not permitted to copy, broadcast, download, store (in any medium) transmit, show or play in public, adapt or change in any way the content of our web pages for any other purpose without our prior written permission.

Third Party Information

We cannot be held responsible for material displayed on third party websites or any other written material. The only prices that apply for our products are those stated within our website. We will not be bound to prices quoted by shopping directories or other media.
